Would you like some wine with your art?

Here is an installation in Bogota, Colombia for Navarro Correas Wine:

A structure was built with 1,000 acrylic cells with an automated robotic mechanism.  Using an instructional guide, passersby sent text messages to activate the mechanism and fill the cells with six different shades of wine, recreating Van Gogh's self portrait.

Photobooth!

Photobooths are fun!

Here is one from Colombia for the board game Pictionary.  A photobooth was set up offering free photos.  People would step inside what looked like an ordinary photo booth.  An artist hidden in the photobooth* would do a 10-second sketch to show how easy it is to do a quick Pictionary drawing.

*Kind of reminds me of this OOH campaign.

Here's another photobooth that was placed on a busy street corner in Berlin for MINI.  People put on headphones before they had their picture taken and selected a MINI style they liked.

The photo taken would be instantly streamed on a large screen in one of Berlin's busiest intersections.

Coca-Cola's drive-in

In Bogota, Colombia, they took a stretch of road filled with pretty bored passengers stuck in traffic and converted the street into an impromptu drive-in movie theatre for Coca Cola.

A large screen was set up by the side of the road and people driving by could set their radios to a station to hear the accompanying audio from the film.  Coca-Cola representatives passed out movie theatre food: popcorn, hot dogs ... and of course, free Coke.

Hot Wheels for real

There has been some interesting stuff from the Hot Wheels' global repositioning campaign.

Team Hot Wheels is a part of the Hot Wheels for Real competition between four different drivers from four different disciplines of racing.  The story is that they were recruited for their driving skill and daring risk-taking and are only known by their uniform color names: Red, Yellow, Blue and Green.

Each driver has their story and distinct personality.  There are mini movies on the website.  Here is another video in the campaign starring Jeremy Piven as he tries to join the Hot Wheels for Real team as the 5th member:

Here's a really fun OOH advert in Colombia for Hot Wheels:
